NEW YORK MCLE REQUIREMENTS
Experienced attorneys must complete a total of 24 accredited CLE credit hours during each biennial reporting cycle (the two-year period between your attorney registrations). At least 4 of these credit hours must be in the Ethics and Professionalism category. The remaining credit hours may be in any category of credit.
- CLE Club courses are accepted in New York Under New York’s Approved Jurisdiction policy for Experienced Attorneys ONLY (admitted to the New York Bar for more than two years). CLE Club is based in California (outside of New York) and our courses are accredited in California. As a result, CLE Club courses are accredited by the New York Approved Jurisdiction and experienced attorneys can use our service. New York attorneys will receive a certificate of completion and should keep the documentation described above for a period of at least four (4) years in case of audit.
- Newly admitted attorneys (transitional) CANNOT use CLE Club to fulfill their continuing legal education requirements. Newly admitted attorneys must fulfill their continuing legal education requirements by taking accredited transitional continuing legal education courses or programs in traditional live classroom settings or through attendance at fully interactive videoconferences if the videoconference technology has been separately approved by the CLE Board for use by newly admitted attorneys.
Experienced New York attorneys can use CLE Club to satisfy all 24 CLE credit hours during each biennial reporting cycle.
